Day 30

We end our month devoted to movement on a special day, the anniversary of perhaps the most famous march in American history, the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. With around 250,000 attendees, the day culminated with speakers in front of the Lincoln Memorial, including a 23-year old John Lewis and, of course, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream.”

We hope this has been a month of intention, reflection, and action. You may have made it 54 miles, you may have made it less, you may have made it more. What matters most is that you engaged your mind, body, and soul.

Intention of the Day: “What did I learn from My54 this month?”

Civic Action of the Day: Take part in or watch the NAACP’s virtual march on Washington.

Content of the Day: Re-read your own reflections and those of your friends and fellow My54ers.
